The tryouts are conducted by Sportsmate360 in association with the New York Pancyprian Freedoms.
Who is Sportsmate360?
Sportsmate360 is a prominent agency and academy in Europe. They manage players in Bundesliga and Ekstraklasa and are involved in developing players to the level where they can sign professional contracts in Europe. Having successfully signed more than 25 players to various clubs in the last two seasons, they are now scouting for top talent in the USA.
What is the expected level of players in the tryouts?
The tryouts aim to attract players with potential and those who are committed to developing themselves to a professional level. As a result, the level of players in the tryouts is expected to be high.
What happens after the trials?
Following the tryouts, successful candidates will be assessed, and if deemed good enough, they will be invited for tryouts with European clubs or a training camp in Europe. This provides an opportunity to compete against professional clubs. For those who may not be selected immediately, but show potential, there is the option to participate in the Pro Project. This program has helped many players sign professional contracts after a period of 6 or 10 months.
